- alright now i was not planning to get high for this movie but omg am i glad i did. this shit was crazy. though really kinda wanna punch whoever shot it cus i was about to get fucking whiplash from all those super fast paced blurry shots where you couldnt see wtf was happening.
- i mean i didn’t read the books also so really there will be no comparing to them, which honestly i kinda like. i did read the wiki page tho just so i knew what was gonna happen which was kinda nice cus then i could spend the rest of the movie loling with katie like the time when i thought she said ‘i wish that was kristen wiig’ referring to peeta and then proceeded to really wish she was actually cast in that role.
- um also like why was the least amount of chemistry between katniss and peeta. maybe it’s just because the crazy amount of sexual tension between her and like everyone else. especially lenny kravitz i couldnt even handle the level of that scene before the games idk how they didnt have sex. they had 30 secs c’mon.
- rue dying was obv the the saddest part as usual i cried and katie laughed at me and then katniss started singing which i made a joke about in the beginning of the film which kinda killed it tho when the other district 11 came and killed that one bitch that was epic and lbr i would rather have had the two of them being the winners like they fucking stole the show and district 11 represent!!!!
- also i have seen so much about jlaw’s acting like i know she is talented but there were just moments where i was almost put off by it. though i am so used to non ugly criers in film/tv that i guess when she ugly cried it was more legit since we all know no one cries pretty thanks to the bachelor. not even casey s.
- idk what else it was good overall for the most part. it dragged a bit towards the end of the games since idc about peeta and katniss that much.

- a girl with a broken family runs away with a gay boy and the sack of flour they were assigned in school to be their child so she can find her dad randomly played by tim mcgraw.
- i am like 90% this movie was not shot in nashville but i was confused how it wasnt. anyway i actually really liked it even though it was not very well recieved. i thought it was cute and sweet and sad and deepish and juno temple did great. and so did mary, she just brought the mom role to life perfectly and just the way she dealt with things. it kinda reminded me of the mom from pleasantville and god knows i loved that shit.

- idk i liked it in a weird way i watched this a while ago though so i dont quite remember. i spent a lot of time thinking about how natalie wood looked so much like lana del rey in this film at least and just wondering if like lana took inspiration from it.

- this was the remake. it was shown on my flight home. obv plane flights are made for watching awful films. it was pretty awful. but it almost was so bad it was good. almost. there was a surprising amount of mentioning of marijuana though especially for a movie on a plane but i appreciated it. maybe one day it will be a stoner classic. maybe.

- meryl streep plays julia childs with a slightly less annoying voice.
- idk how i picked not so great movies for my last of last year and my first of this year. i mean meryl is great but that voice she does drives me insane. the other actors were fine too but the movie itself was just so fucking boring like why did it exist. we didn’t even finish it ‘cause we all wanted to watch the globes red carpet instead. tg it was a free screener or i would want my money back.
- the make up for the older version of her though mad props to that make up artist for reals.

- here’s a lesson to be learned kids, look up a movie’s rating before convincing your dad to see it. if it’s nc-17 prob not your best idea, but well it happened. anyway clearly this film is a bit gratuitous. lots of nudity, lots of penis, peeing penis, things i have no interest in seeing: men peeing. didn’t change the plot what so ever just thrown in to be edgy. but anyway the guy is a sex addict which he is aSHAMEd to be and his sister comes to town to stay with him and spoiler alert after fucking his boss tries to kill herself. let’s just say the family has issues though the why is never explored leaving a gaping hole in the plot. lots of unnescary shots of him standing around.
- alright michael fassbender did a good job though my dad swears they said they were original from ireland but i missed that part ‘cause and one point both their accents were seriously showing. anyway yes he did a great job. i thought his emotions were dead on (though a bit obvious that wasn’t really his fault). the directing though idk why everyone is saying steve mcqueen got snubbed i feel like at least half of those people did not see the movie because honestly he is like fucking ang lee 2.0 with way too many long dumb shots doing nothing for the story itself just meant to look cool and edgy and like oh look at me i am so hip and original. i want to see a movie for character development and it just lost me a lot there. so just an eh movie with some good actors.

- this is a silent film about a great actor of that genre and his fall from the top when talkies came into play. there is also a romance involved but more importantly he has a super cute dog who does super cute tricks.
- this film was amazing. i mean it just blew me away. i am not really one for classics. i don’t think i ever had the patience to sit through a silent film especially since god knows i can’t pay attention when watching things at home so tg i saw it in theaters. i mean a few years ago i probably would have never even given this film a chance but damn it was just so easy to watch. it was almost like the muppets where it just made me happy. like everything was so simple and easy to follow but actually had a good story and a great vision and just something so hard to pull off just done so well. ugh i just loved it.

- ryan gosling drives a car. people die violently. lots of moments of silence for those guys.. right? that was what was happening?
- i like the font on the posters. it’s very 80s. i like the 80s.
- my feelings on this movie are very mixed. i liked the editing and ryan gosling did an amazing job and the music in all the silence was very well thought out, but at the same time i kind of didn’t care much about any of the characters. i just had no investment it the plot whatsoever.

- i decided to take a month off of movies for the most part cus well the last few months there they started to consume me so yeah now i am back to writing reviews for the last few films i watched at the end of december so yeah might not remember things so well.
- this was an indie film something felt almost woody allenesque in the beginning. i really stylistically liked it in the start, but as the film went on it started to get boring and i just felt very distanced from the characters and relationships. it just seemed a bit drawn out, but a good concept overall. if it could have kept up what it had going in the beginning it would have been great.
